The CK Triple Toot!

So, my big news for the week is I had THREE layouts requested for the Nov/Dec issue of Creating Keepsakes!!  I am pretty darn proud of myself that all three layouts I submitted to them got selected...pretty darn proud!  This isn't my first go-around with CK but it is a HUGE milestone none the less!!  I've never had more than one layout get picked up for the same issue so this is very exciting to little old me!

I've been enjoying my work with Scrappin Sports n More...I love what a clean look I get when I use their papers.  It is old school scrapping at it's best for me, and I love the layouts I create for them.  Here's a couple I've shared on their blog but not here:

I've also been very busy with my new responsibilities as DT Coordinator at Little Red Scrapbook.  LOVE the girls on the new DT...everyone is settling in nicely and the board is hopping along once again.  Come check it out if you haven't yet...not only are our kits the BEST in the industry, we have some fun challenges and friendly faces, too. :)

on a personal note, the kids and I are all suffering from "senioritis" despite none of them being seniors in High School.  Everyone is pretty much "done" with the hustle and bustle and stress of the school year..sadly, it's only going to get worse before it gets better.  The bigs have finals coming up the week after next, then more the following week, just to be compounded with recital rehearsals, ending with the bang of the recital!  Then...ahh...a few weeks off for them while Cammy finishes up (yes their schools aren't on the same schedule this year).  I can not WAIT to get to that point.  Lots of fun to be had until then though...

This weekend is full of birthday parties and Mother's Day, the following weekend I am going to Inspired Journey, a smallish event hosted by my friend Ginger and Teresa Collins...two full days of creating and no kids (hopefully!) and a cheer banquet for Jillian. Throw in dress rehearsals for the recital and the actual recital followed by a family baby shower for which I am in charge of decorations and I will come up for air June 10th..so if I am a bit scarce until then..you know why!  Hope your days aren't as crazy as mine and you are getting lots of crafty "me" time!

Thank goodness it's Friday!  It's been very busy around here with the big kids headed into finals, AP exams and such.  I have been working a lot and gearing up for our Little Red Blog Hop on National Scrapbook Day (Saturday) so that has kept me busy.  I decided to clean my scraproom in honor of NSD, mostly so that I had room to scrap!  I have been great at making messes, cleaning, not so much!  Anyway, I have a blog post up on the Little Red Scrapbook Blog today where I'm sharing photos of my Scrap Loft!!  I'll give you a peek here..

Little Red Scrapbook News!

It's been a busy couple of days over at Little Red Scrapbook! First, we announced our new Design Team!  I'm so honored to be the Design Team Coordinator of this fantastic team!!  You can see the announcement HERE.  We also had our Design Team Gallery reveal so I thought I'd share my designs with you here.

Here's my first design..it's also my Monthly Challenge.  (which is to use the hot trend of chevrons on your layout)

Next up was my sketch layout.  I also played along with Tammy's challenge to use paint or mist on the layout.  I added splashes of mists and confetti, too. :)

and a couple of cards- the first was created with the stamp add on...oooh I love this typewriter stamp!!  I'm going to be using it a LOT!

So I spread out my March Little Red Scrapbook kit and got busy! I can not believe how quickly I did three layouts and two cards... The kit is amazing! I have fun news from Little Red Scrapbook Kit Club!  Some is for me, and some is for you!!  First, for me...I have some very fun news to share!  I have been asked to be the Design Team Coordinator for Little Red Scrapbook!  I have been on the Design Team there for many years- it is my all time favorite kit club EVER.  I honestly believe that no one offers a better kit at a better price and I can say that with all my heart and experience.  I am so so excited to be taking on more responsibility for Little Red Scrapbook.  Before I share the news for you, check out the April Kit:

Little Red Scrapbook Kit Club is having a Design Team Call!! If you love to scrap with monthly kits and have oodles of creativity just waiting to be recognized, we would like to see what you’ve got. We are putting together a new Design Team with up to 5 members who are up to the challenge.

Requirements include:
1. Ability to produce 3 layouts and 1 card or paper craft project per month with a set deadline using mostly items from the main kit and kit add-ons.
2. Good photography skills for taking pictures of your projects.
3. Ability to come up with fun and creative challenges every month.
4. Projects posted with social media: Facebook, your personal blog, Pinterest, and our Little Red Scrapbook Blog and at least one online gallery.
5. Participation in our friendly Message Board and Gallery at least 4 times weekly.
6. Participation in our Blog, including writing your own posts.
7. Participation in Blog Hops and Special Events.
8. Ability to participate fully for a 12 month term.
9. Open to US residents only at this time.

Does that sound fun? If it does, it’s about to get better. Here’s what we’ll do for you in return:
1. Send you a Monthly Main kit for free.
2. Offer you a discount on the current Kit Add-Ons; if you choose to purchase them, they will be sent with your Main Kit for free.
3. Name, bio and photo featured on our DT Page.
4. Link from our DT Page and Blog to your personal blog.
5. Social Media exposure of your designs.
6. Give you our undying gratitude and amazement for your creations!!

What do you need to do to enter? That’s easy too!
1. Submit photos of 4 of your most favorite recent (last 3-6 months) work that highlights your own personal style, your skills and your creativity to lrs.dt.call@gmail.com . Projects do not need to use Little Red Scrapbook kits, but we’d love it if they did! Please use the subject line LRS DT CALL. Please no photos bigger than 500 kb each.
2. Write up a quick bio about yourself, mentioning why you’re interested in being on our DT, what experience (if any) you have with DTs, and why you love scrapbooking/paper crafting/cardmaking. Please include a current DT resume (with current obligations) if you have one and contact information (name, address, phone number, email and blog address).
3. Submissions must be received NO LATER than Saturday, April 14, 2012. Submissions received after this date will not be considered for our DT.
4. Applicants selected will be notified by April 16th and the full announcement will be made shortly after that.

A little scrappy!

I have some shares for you today!  

I never did share my Little Red Scrapbook kit work..first up is my Monthly Challenge layout.  I challenge you to use the word "Tweet" in your title or subtitle.  I used Nikki's sketch for this challenge, so it's a 2fer, really. 

Next up is "Make a Wish"...

And lastly, Sunday smiles...Cammy wrote on one tag and Eric, the other, what they love about spending time together on Sundays (usually the only day DH is home during the week).

Next up, is a layout I did for Scrappin Sports n More this week..lots of fussy cutting on those softballs, lol.  

And lastly, one just for me. Basic Grey hosted a sketch challenge and I decided to play along with pictures I took yesterday...the rainbow was so pretty and I was feeling pretty lucky...so here it is..

So there you go...see, I have been scrapping besides Project Life! :)
