Pretty Little Studio and Tombow USA Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to the Tombow USA and Pretty Little Studio Blog Hop! Get ready for two days of beautiful vintage inspiration! You probably came here from Jennie Garcia's Blog but if you happened to stumble across my blog go to the Tombow USA Blog (on Friday) or Pretty Little Studio (On Saturday) to start!

Tombow and Pretty Little Studio are a match made in heaven.  Each of the Tombow products compliments the Pretty Little Studio products and allows them to shine in your projects!  For my first project, I created this layout using mostly the Baby Claire Collection.

Pretty Little Studio Products used:

3" Gold Foil Alphabet

Baby Harper Vellum

Baby Kade Vellum

Baby Chase Paper

Baby Annie Bingo Cards

Baby Mia Journaling Cards

Baby Words Stickers

Catmint Tabs

The Tombow Xtreme Adhesive is amazing for vellum and layered looks.  It is extremely strong and a little goes a long way!  My favorite Tombow adhesive to use on the narrow die cut pieces is the Aqua Liquid Glue, the pen tip side.  It is perfectly clear and it's so easy to apply it just where you want it. And of course, Foam Tabs are a must use for dimension. Last but not least, the Mono Multi Glue is perfect for adhering the 3 dimensional embellishments like flowers and sequins.

For my second project, I created this card using the You and Me Collection from Pretty Little Studio on a Clear Scraps Heart Card and the Tombow Adhesives.

I love love love how the Tombow Xtreme adhesive is perfectly clear.  It provides a super strong bond without showing...I LOVE that!!

Clearly Fall Card

Hi there, Lisa here today to share a Fall Friendship card I created using Clear Scraps Ornate Send it Clear Card and  Leaves Embellishment and Pretty Little Studio papers and Flair.

I simply cut my patterned paper to fit the back of the card and using a denim needle on my sewing machine, sewed it to the back panel of the card.  I chose to keep the front panels clear this time and let the background do the work for me.  I used my favorite Zip Dry adhesive for the leaves...and added an adorable Flair from the Marigold Collection. Twine from The Twinery and some thread top it all off for a simple but elegant look.

And a peek at the inside, just waiting for a special message...

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Clear Scraps and Echo Park Latte Love

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing an adorable Clear Scraps Mason Jar album that I altered to create this fun little mini titled "A Latte Love".  It features Echo Park "Simple Life" paper and stickers, which were so fun and so easy to work with on a project like this!

I altered the mini by cutting off the "threads" of the jar, leaving me with what looks like a coffee cup.  I chose to punch out the heart on the cover and save it for another project. I really like the three dimensional look the window gives to the cover.  Fussy cut flowers mixed with some Cameo cuts from the Echo Park papers and a coffee filter flower all complemented the cover nicely, don't you think?  I even used coffee stained ribbon for an accent throughout.  The backside of the cover is below...a simple page, highlighting the photo and a bit of journaling...oh, White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha, I can't wait for you to come back!

This next page is a clear one.  I chose to mat my photos on a bit of paper and use a doily for an accent.  I love how the embellishments from the page behind even embellish this page! ;)

The backside of the clear page...again, simple.

This is my favorite page of the mini.  I had been saving this Starbucks coffee sleeve with an Oprah quote for months.  It really reasonates with me so I had to keep it.  I created a pocket with the sleeve which was perfect for slipping in a tag with some journaling.

Another of my favorites, the backside of this page was matted on a pink paper bag, just like they use at Starbucks!  More journaling is hidden inside the pocket.

And the last page, another doily, some fussy cut flowers and some fun stickers and this mini is complete.

The back of the album..

The whole thing is bound with rings.  I do love how I used patterned paper only on the last page for the handle but you can see it all the way through the mini.  That saved me a bunch of time when making this book.  One more look...

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Let me know if you have any questions about creating this mini if you decide to document your love of coffee, too!  I'd love to see!

Clear Scraps and Imagine Crafts in harmony...

Thank you for visiting my blog today to see the project I created using Clear Scraps products with Imagine Crafts Staz-On ink and irResistible Texture Spray!

Photo_1 (4)-001

It is a beautiful thing to work with products that get along.  No fussing or fighting, just simply gorgeous results that speak for themselves.  I started this product with Clear Scraps 12 x 12 Craft Sheet, the 12" Doily Mascil and the irRESISTible Texture Spray from Imagine Crafts.

Photo_4 (2)

One of my favorite parts about using this spray was that it really did stay where I sprayed it, no running or globbing up, it just stayed.  And, while it doesn't photograph that way, it is so perfectly raised and textured.  Such a nice effect. I cut two 4 x 6 panels from my craft sheet for my project.  The first one I used for the cover.

Photo_2 (6)

You can also the Clear Scraps Butterfly Mixer that I created using Staz-on ink, the blender pad and a script stamp.  I used Claret for the background (such a pretty reddish pink) and then stamped some script with Jet Black.  Love the effect.  I also dabbed a bit on the bottom of my crystal drops for a lovely ombre effect.

Photo_3 (3)

On this page I used Clear Scraps Small Deco Frame, an ombre effect with the Claret Staz-On and more script stamping to create the little photo frame. Love how it really pops the photo without distracting from it.

My second 4 x 6 panel simply edged with claret for the peeks of the last page through this one! I really love how this project turned out and how easy it was to work with these products.  Thank you for stopping by today!  For more inspiration please stop by the Imagine Crafts Blog and the Clear Scraps Blog.

Winding up summer

It's the last couple of days of summer starts in 4 days!  Yay!  I'm sure I'm supposed to be sad but I'm not!  I crave routine and by this point in the summer break I really have no patience for anyone so it will be a welcome change to get up and get the kids off to school so I can hear myself think.

Cammy is starting 7th grade, Jillian her Senior year, and Maddie goes back to University of Nevada on Thursday.  Bittersweet that it all is, the next few months will be CRAZY.  It seems I was just doing this, navigating the whole college application process.  Time starts ticking away and I start to realize that we are in that weird push of deciding on where to apply, where to visit, all the while staying focused on those Senior year grades and ACT/SAT test scores.  To think that 365 days from now Jillian will more than likely be headed off to a dorm and starting college is a bit crazy.  Of all my kids she is the least independent.  I know that going to Israel was really good for her but she still likes someone to take care of her.  College is the exact opposite of that. So there's that to consider.  I'm sure you will be hearing more about this here on the blog. In fact, I know it.  I am choosing to NOT hire a college counselor this time around so I will be the one steering this ship...wish me luck!!

In scrappy news, tomorrow I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with a fun's a little sneak...

Yes, of course it's Heidi Swapp...I totally love her products.  Please stop by for a look at the whole thing tomorrow!  I also have two blog hops coming up with great prizes so be sure to come back next week for the first one!  Thanks for stopping by...
